 Kayaking in the huaypo lagoon is  practically a new tour where you probably will not find many tourists like you and is highly recommended for those who like water and paddling in the tranquility of nature.

The Huaypo Lagoon is located between the city of Cusco and the Sacred Valley of the Incas, northeast of the City of Cusco at 3507 masl and about 44 km away. The lagoon is surrounded by one of the best views of our glaciers such as Salkantay, Veronica and Soray. Making this tour one of the most picturesque in which you should not forget the camera.

Itinerary:

After having enjoyed a delicious breakfast at your hotel, your guide will pick you up at 8:30 a.m. in a private bus. Depending on exactly where your Hotel is, you can calculate the time of arrival to the lagoon, but it is estimated that the travel time to the lagoon of the city of Cusco or the Sacred Valley is approximately 50 minutes.

On your way you will appreciate a very picturesque panorama of the mountains of the Andes of this sector and of the experience of the people of the area.

Once we arrive at the lagoon, exactly at our base station, Huaypo tours  staff will be waiting for us in a tent with everything necessary for our activity. Our waiter will offer us something to drink and maybe something to eat. We will relax a moment in this place made for you and to enjoy this beautiful panorama. Once we enjoy a refreshing drink when it’s hot or a coffee or tea when it’s cold, our guide will give us the talk about how kayaking works and our tour of the lake and safety.

Once this talk is finished that will not last more than 10 minutes, we will be ready to enter the water. They will be given the necessary equipment for the activity such as life jacket, wind jacket, kayak skirt and an oar. (Depending on what you want to do, you will be given the necessary equipment)

Then we will enter the water all together and walk the lake for about two hours appreciating some birds and fish from this crystal clear lake and taking the necessary photos for a nice souvenir we will return to our base after this beautiful tour. They will be waiting for us with a luxury picnic, buffet or box lunch depending on what you have wanted for your day. Our waiter and of course our guide are serving them at all times.

Once you are satisfied and having enjoyed this field day, we will return to the place where you were picked up.
