Rafting the Chuquicahuana River Full Day

Location:        South east of Cusco
Duration:          2 hours + 1 ½ in the river.

Over a beautiful canyon and located above 10 ,500  ft, swimming skills needed.

Itinerary

08:40am        
You’ll be picked up at your hotel in Cusco in the morning and we will depart for Cusí Pata River Camp. Here the guides will give you a safety briefing and rafting lesson for the beginners. We’ll then don our wetsuits, life vests, waterproof coats, and helmets.

10:30am
We’ll make our way to Acomayo Bridge to begin our rafting adventure, entering the river in our self-bailing inflatable rafts. The strength of the rapids depends on the time of year, with class II and III rapids during the dry season and III and IV during the rainy season. We’ll begin with the lower class and advance, with the guide indicating how to handle different rapids and the safety kayak accompanying us. The trip will take us along the river for about 2½ hours of adrenaline-filled fun and scenic views.

1:30pm
After our rafting excitement is past we will return to Cusí Pata River Camp to enjoy a delicious picnic lunch. You’ll have the option of relax in the sauna.

4:00pm
We’ll begin our return to the city of Cusco, arriving at approximately 5:30pm, after which you’ll be dropped off at your hotel.
